The Protector by Jessie G. - Tour and Giveaway

The Protector Final - 700H

The Protector
Sizzling Miami #3
by
Jessie G.

GGR-LB Blurb

There was a time when Master Saul Alvarez filled his days fighting and his nights teaching willing subs the pleasure of his whip. His compassionate understanding of the masochist mind makes him the most sought after professional sadist in the Miami BDSM community. Neither role invites long term relationships, but he’s comfortable with his solitary existence until he is charged with guarding Durango’s prized whore. One look into those terror filled eyes has him vowing to risk it all to save the beautiful man.
Javier Escardo had been praying for death, but never expected the stone cold killer he got in response. One glimpse into those sinful eyes reveals not only the promise of retribution, but a reason to live. Eight years later, free and mostly sane, Javier is determined to take what belongs to him. Saul’s heart. Through hell and back, through layers of pain and shifting realities, that one truth has remained firm. His protector needs saving and he can’t do it alone.
Hidden beneath the public persona, Kyle Jensen is a man who craves to be invisible without being insignificant. He longs to find a Master who will see his need to be taken over without abusing him and a lover who will care about him beyond the sexual games. It isn’t until he encounters the smoldering combination of Saul and Javier that he realizes it was never supposed to be just one partner at all.
Can two battered hearts be mended by the love of a third? Kyle becomes the light to their darkness, and he’s willing to risk his heart for theirs, but when the past threatens Saul, will Javier’s sacrifice destroy them all?

Author’s Note:
The Protector deals with issues of sexual abuse and forced prostitution. While these acts are not detailed on the page, there are many references to them and the ongoing fight to heal and overcome. This book should not be read by anyone who would be adversely affected by these references.

GGR-LB Author

FAR Jessie G Bio PhotoLike many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With two published books and counting, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

Author Interview:

If you could ask your characters one question, what would it be?
Do they ever think about getting a place of their own, even if it's just a secret vacation retreat where they can be alone?

Pick one song to describe each character.
Saul - Under Pressure, Queen & David Bowie
Javier - Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix
Kyle - The Show Must Go On, Queen

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
I would go to Italy and look up my extended family.

Would you rather get a really well-written three star review, or a brief five star review?
I'm going to say a brief five star review because you didn't qualify the three star as being constructive (read: not mean). Malicious, purposefully hurtful reviews, can be very well-written, especially if the reviewer is trying to prove themselves better than the author they are obliterating. If the option was a well-written and constructive review, I would take that no matter how many stars came with it.

If your main character was an animal, what would he be?
Saul would be an alpha wolf. Leader of his pack, fierce, loyal and protective.

GGR-LB Excerpt

A voyeur at twenty-eight—how had he sunk so low? In his defense, Kyle couldn’t remember ever seeing anything as beautiful as the two men in the corner. Both of Latino descent, their olive skin and dark hair immediately pinged on his radar. As he stood in line to order, Kyle couldn’t help but watch as the dominant comforted his partner. That moment when his hand fell to the submissive’s neck had been so electric that Kyle felt it across the small café. Then they just breathed together, slow and steady, until they were one breath in unison.
It hadn’t been his intention to get the table next to theirs, but by the time he sat, all the rest were taken. Neither looked his way, which was surprising because most people did, men and women alike. Some said he had a look about him, not too tall, not too broad, with that all-American, boy-next-door vibe. Not a bad package that was kicked up by pale blue eyes that had been described as freaky or sexy depending on who was fucking him, and blond hair that could border on white if he stayed out in the sun too long. Having just come back from Mexico, shooting new scenes for the porn house he contracted with, he knew all the normal things that drew attention were amplified by his deep golden tan.
For once he was glad not to be noticed. Their moment was so intimate he wouldn’t want to intrude and settled for huddling in a chair against the wall. Yet, as much as he reminded himself to focus on the pitiful grilled chicken salad, his gaze kept straying. When the tip of that pink tongue teased those full lips, he felt his cock swell. Kyle couldn’t recall the last time he reacted to anyone without the benefit of some Viagra, and to have it happen now, in a crowded café, stunned him. Then the dominant one leaned in and licked him. No, no, shit, he held him in place and tortured that exquisite mouth so expertly it was a wonder Kyle didn’t shoot in his pants just watching.
With just the barest touch of an accent, the submissive begged for more. His voice was barely a whisper, so Kyle couldn’t tell how deep or accented it really was, but that whispery moan spoke a language all its own.
Nervously, he glanced around the café. Public displays were usually frowned upon and man-on-man was usually worse. A few people glanced their way, but no one seemed inclined to confront the pair and he instinctively knew that had everything to do with the dominant one. Yeah, he oozed a don’t-fuck-with-me attitude that was no act.
Holy shit, he was going for the whole tongue. This was no kiss, it was better. Pure, undiluted, sexual torture. Kyle had to bite his own tongue to keep it in his mouth. It took a full minute to slide down the length of that tongue. A full fucking minute and was that a little suckle at the end? When the submissive moaned, Kyle moaned right along with him.

Kyle forced himself to look down at his plate as they leaned in to whisper to each other, and practically shoveled the food in his mouth. If he didn’t get out of there soon he’d be begging to join them, tongue out, legs spread, whatever they wanted.

My Zombie Boyfriend - Valentine's Day Excerpt

It's Valentine's Day!

I wasn't sure what to get you, so here's an excerpt from My Zombie Boyfriend. For those of you just tuning in, My Zombie Boyfriend is about Edward, a medical student/necromancer, and his zombie, Kit. You can read more about it here.

This scene takes place soon after Edward and Kit  have sex for the first time. Bone is Edward's ex-boyfriend.

---

Valentine’s Day.

I had thought about buying Kit a box of chocolates. A teddy bear holding a heart. A dozen roses. A diamond.

I did none of those things.

Reminders of What Had Happened Between Us were suddenly everywhere, in the hearts and cupids decorating every surface. I felt as though, wherever I went, people knew Kit and I had slept together and were silently congratulating or judging me. Kit introduced me to a few of his classmates-cum-friends, and to my surprise, I liked them.

I hoped they liked me, too, and I waited for that infernal day to end so Kit and I could get back to the comfortable awkwardness we had been living in since our night together.

My concentration in class suddenly tripled. I hadn’t realized how much I had been coasting since I had found Kit, or how much I had missed my professors’ praise. I felt like I was coming out of hibernation and seeing spring happening all around me, and it was corny as hell.

I didn’t care.

When we got home, Bone was standing on the sidewalk in front of my house, smoking and leering at pedestrians and drivers as they passed.

I hurried him inside before he raised too many questions from my neighbors.

“Bone, what a pleasant surprise. Would you care for a drink?”

“Brandy, if you’ve got it. In coffee.” His voice was harsh with cold and smoke.

I wrinkled my nose. The fact that he was a smoker might have played a part in our separation. Health issues aside, I can’t stand the smell. “Just the coffee.”

He shrugged, as if to say, it didn’t matter to him one way or the other.

Kit was staring at Bone, warily. He had only met Bone once before, and under rather trying circumstances.

“Ah, Kit, you remember Bone. Bone, Kit.” That just sounded peculiar.

I was happy to have the distraction of making coffee, so I could turn my back on them for a moment and try to figure out why Bone was here.

“Yeah, sure. That hospital guy, right?”

“That’s partially why I’m here. So I’ll be more than “that hospital guy” to you.” Bone produced a rose and held it out to Kit, smirking. “I asked Edward if I could borrow you, and he told me to ask you. So here I am. Asking.”

Borrow?” Kit was so outraged, he could hardly get the word out. He shot Bone a nasty look, then turned it on me.

I held up my hands to show my innocence, and Kit and I had a brief, silent conversation. I told him no, of course!

You should have told me!

I didn’t think it would come up, or that you’d want to know…

I wasn’t at all surprised that Bone had such a…fascination…with Kit. Bone is heavily into death, and about the only sexual partner more death-related than a necromancer is a zombie. Still. That was no excuse for him to upset Kit, especially on Valentine’s Day. When we might, just possibly, have a thing. Whatever that thing might be.

“Bone, we’re kind of…ah…this is sort of a bad time.” I passed him a mug of steaming coffee.
He drank some. This is one of the reasons I’m convinced he’s not entirely human—no human could drink coffee that hot and still look as though butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth. “I can come back.”
“Not really the point. I mean, it’d be great to have you over sometime. We could watch a movie or play video games or something.”

And Kit could be conveniently absent. Though I would probably tell him to leave earlier and stay out later than when Bone was expected to be around.

“Here, why don’t I put that in a travel mug for you?” I snatched the coffee out of Bone’s hands, pouring it into a thermos for him. “You can keep that. I’ll call you. This is a bad time; did I say that already?” I drove him toward the door, opened it, and ejected him. Closing the door behind him, I leaned against it, letting myself slide down until I was sitting on the floor. I felt astonishingly rude, but he was gone, and Bone isn’t the type to take offence about social niceties, or the lack thereof. I would call him later, if he didn’t call me first. I was sure he knew Kit and I were now sleeping together and would feel the need to bother me about it. Which seemed like fair payment for throwing him out like that.

“Kit?” I asked, from the floor. He was wearing a pair of shoes I’d never seen before, which didn’t surprise me. They were grey leather and looked very good on him.

“Mmm?” He leaned on the counter and peered down at me.

“I like your shoes.”

“Thank you, Edward!” He sounded genuinely touched.

“Do you want to go out for dinner?”

“Tonight?”

“Yeah.”

“Valentine’s Day dinner? Like, a date?”

I shrugged, trying to copy Bone’s laissez-faire gesture and probably failing.

“Yeah, all right. If you think we’ll be able to find a place that isn’t packed.”

“I don’t care if we go to McDonald’s.”

“I’ll get my coat.”

Burning For Her Kiss - Sherri Hayes - Blog Tour

Burning For Her Kiss (Serpent's Kiss, Book 1) by Sherri Hayes
Genre: BDSM Erotic Romance
Release Date: February 12, 2015

Book Summary

Beth Davenport has no interest in getting involved with
another man for the foreseeable future. To say her last relationship ended in
disaster would be a colossal understatement. The only reason she agrees to put
in an appearance at Serpent’s Kiss, a private kink club in downtown St. Louis, is
because her best friend, Nicole, won’t quit nagging her. When she walks in the
door that night, the last thing she expects to do is meet a man who will have
her reconsidering her ban on men.

As a captain with the St. Louis Fire Department, Drew Parker
is used to being in charge. His crew relies on him to make sure they know what
they’re doing and return home to their families after every shift. It isn’t, however,
what he wants in a relationship. Drew decides to join Serpent’s Kiss to see if
what appeals to him in fantasy is something he wants to explore in the real
world. He’s also hoping that he’ll be lucky enough to meet a woman with whom he
can explore his desires. The night Beth walks into the club, he is intrigued.
Drew has to get to know her better.

After what happened to her, Beth is reluctant to get
involved with Drew. It doesn’t matter that he is sweet and charming. She’s been
burned before and Beth doesn’t think she can survive having her heart crushed
again. Drew, however, won’t take no for an answer. He wants a relationship and
is determined to chip away at her defenses until she relents. Will she give him
a chance, or did her ex leave her with scars too deep to heal?

Excerpt

She
plunged her tongue inside his mouth and took what she wanted. It was the
hottest thing Drew could ever remember experiencing in his life.
The
kiss didn’t last more than a minute or two, but it was long enough for him to
know he wanted more.
Beth
rested her forehead against his. She was breathing just as hard as he was. Her
chest was heaving up and down, brushing against his chest. Not to mention that
she was still straddling his lap.
“Please
tell me you want to do that again.”
She
laughed. It was so nice to see her happy and carefree.
“Is
that a yes?”
“Don’t
get cocky on me now.” She ran a single finger down the side of his face and
over his lower lip.
He
closed his eyes, trying not to push.
“Open
your eyes,” she whispered.
When
he met her gaze, he noticed the amusement was gone. He was instantly on alert.
“What’s wrong?”
Beth
shook her head. “Nothing’s wrong. I’m just . . . considering my
options.”
“Options
about what?”
“You.”
“Oh.”
He wasn’t sure he liked the fact that thinking over her options had banished
the fun they’d be having.
Before
he could formulate another question, she explained. “Things between us are
moving faster than I thought they would.”
“Is
that bad?” He needed to know. In his opinion, things between them weren’t
moving fast enough.
She
sighed. But Drew also noted that she hadn’t removed herself from his lap. That
was good, wasn’t it?
“I
don’t know. Maybe. Maybe not.”

Author Bio

Sherri
spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least
favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She
wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head
spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author.

At the age
of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a
television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her
hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever
after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories
on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.

Nearly
eight years later, Sherri is the author of eight full-length novels, and two
short stories. Writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore
a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all
the twists and turns she can create. You can find a current list of all of
Sherri’s books and sign up for her monthly newsletter at

BDSMonday - Guest Post by M. Strange - Service

It's BDSMonday!

Today I have another guest post from my Sir, M. Strange. Today she's talking about Tops caring for bottoms.

---

T. and I are big fans of service submission, but also service D/s in general. While I love when she brings me food and drink, waits on me, pets my hair, etc, it’s nice to do the reverse as well.

When I take care of her that way, it’s more the way a master would care for their pet. Pets need to be bathed, brushed, clipped, fed and loved. And so do subs. So just because you’re a dominant, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be pampering your sub the same way they take care of you.

And after they’re all clean and happy, you can give them a good spanking! :)
