"The Dragon's Gift" by Angora Shade - Twisted Fables Anthology

Story Blurb: "The Dragon's Gift" by Angora Shade

Sitting through Maxine’s latest theatre performance about a dragon is an experience her friend dreads, but Maxine’s promise of a surprise for her after the show has piqued her interest. After a production that both pleases and surprises, Maxine—in full dragon costume—motions to meet her friend through a stage side door. In the dark and under the stage, the friend’s desire for Maxine is finally realized…and then some.

Story Excerpt:

I gulp as her claw becomes the flat of her finger, tracing the outline of my mouth and further sending me alight. I want to close my eyes and accept the responses from my body, but my mind tells me I should see who causes them and understand why. But all I see is the dragon and the light of the lantern flickering, appearing and disappearing as the shape of Maxine’s costume continues to sway back and forth, repeatedly blocking it out.
Why knowingly trigger me? Maxine is never cruel, nor does she make decisions lightly. She’s methodical in all aspects of her life, carefully choosing every move before its execution. I think surprise and want to melt into the floor. There could be no greater gift than finally experiencing the touch from the single most desirable person in my life, and no better place for her first experience with the same sex than the exceptionally quiet, still, and private dark under the stage where Maxine has just fabulously performed.
A single clawed digit pushes into my mouth, spreading my lips apart and caressing over the flat of my tongue. I create an O shape around it and curl around her finger. The front of my tongue slides smoothly over her pointed tip as she withdraws, and I enjoy the light smacking sound our actions make from my suction once she’s left my mouth. My mind wanders as I imagine gliding in and out of multiple places…extra-long caresses reaching extra, extra deep…If this is really happening, I tell myself I cannot let her down.
I reach with both my hands to grasp the hand still floating in front of my face. I kiss each knuckle in turn, and then lick the space between her thumb and pointer finger with the tip of my tongue. The texture of the costume is rough in the opposite direction of the layered fabric, and smooth as glass down the other way. I taste something I imagine to be the remnants of stage makeup she might’ve helped a fellow actor draw on, but it’s the warmth radiating from underneath that lures me further; I want to feel it all over my body. Grasping her hand tightly, I place it over my face, guide it down over my features to my neck, and push into the dip of my shirt collar. I feel the trail linger like a mild burn long after her hand cascades onto my shirt fabric and pauses above my rapidly beating heart.
My eyes closed sometime during the action, but I open them to confess what I’ve always wanted to say, “I want you.”
Maxine doesn’t speak a word, but her head tilts from side to side again. I wish she’d say something—anything—to assure me of her intentions. A few touches, some light kisses—they mean less to me without the emotional connection inflicted by words. I’d like to hear her tell me she’s always secretly desired me, been curious. A confession of mutual love would send me over the moon….

Angora Shade Interview Questions and Answers:

1) How long have you been writing and what do you like to write?

I've been writing since I was old enough to scribble with a crayon. I loved creating picture books in elementary school, and I wrote tons of poetry in high school. I didn't get serious with my writing until after college when I moved to Europe. I've written everything from children's picture books to explicit adult erotica, and I'm only now exploring romance. I often find myself wanting to write what I haven't written before, and writing a "sweet" romance is next on my to-do list.

2) What's the story behind "The Dragon's Gift" ?

I've always been amused and fascinated by "beast" and "monster" erotica, which is quite popular at the moment. It's strange, explicit, and over-the-top. I've never written this type of story and "The Dragon's Gift" was an experiment in doing so. My original ending wasn't a happily ever after, and I ended up writing two more endings to see how it would change the overall feeling of the story. This story experience was delightful, challenging, and something I'm glad I attempted.

3) What is your favorite genre to read?

I enjoy reading YA fantasy books. They're quick and easy to read, and usually tell a positive tale about characters seeking redemption. I also like paranormal/horror stories. I grew up eating the words of Anne Rice and wishing I was inside a tale from R.L. Stine. Right now I'm writing only erotica and romance, although I also enjoy writing YA fantasy.

4) What can readers expect to read from you in the future?

There's surely more erotica and romance coming out of my head in the near future, but my next release will be the re-release of "A Normal Girl," which is a fetish-focused novella. It explores the journey of one young man's idea of "normal" where he learns that "normal" is relative, and that his normal is anything but.

Bio: Angora Shade is a multi-published American author living in what she lovingly refers to as "Sheep Shit Nowhere" Europe. In an attempt to add some spice to her small town life, Ms Shade began writing explicit erotica as a form of entertainment. Exploring the boundaries of acceptable sexual literature, she often seeks to create stories that not only entertain others, but also expose and push against the negative stigma surrounding sex in modern day society. She believes that sex, in literature, art, personal thought, and physical nature, should be celebrated and expressed freely and as easily as any God given freedom. Her favorite themes in writing include revenge, self-discovery, alternative materials for love play/bdsm, as well as anything that produces a good tingle, sizzle, or laugh. When not writing, Ms Shade enjoys red wine, travel, dancing, classic cartoons, baking, and creating fine art.

The Protector by Jessie G. - Tour and Giveaway

The Protector Final - 700H

The Protector
Sizzling Miami #3
by
Jessie G.

GGR-LB Blurb

There was a time when Master Saul Alvarez filled his days fighting and his nights teaching willing subs the pleasure of his whip. His compassionate understanding of the masochist mind makes him the most sought after professional sadist in the Miami BDSM community. Neither role invites long term relationships, but he’s comfortable with his solitary existence until he is charged with guarding Durango’s prized whore. One look into those terror filled eyes has him vowing to risk it all to save the beautiful man.
Javier Escardo had been praying for death, but never expected the stone cold killer he got in response. One glimpse into those sinful eyes reveals not only the promise of retribution, but a reason to live. Eight years later, free and mostly sane, Javier is determined to take what belongs to him. Saul’s heart. Through hell and back, through layers of pain and shifting realities, that one truth has remained firm. His protector needs saving and he can’t do it alone.
Hidden beneath the public persona, Kyle Jensen is a man who craves to be invisible without being insignificant. He longs to find a Master who will see his need to be taken over without abusing him and a lover who will care about him beyond the sexual games. It isn’t until he encounters the smoldering combination of Saul and Javier that he realizes it was never supposed to be just one partner at all.
Can two battered hearts be mended by the love of a third? Kyle becomes the light to their darkness, and he’s willing to risk his heart for theirs, but when the past threatens Saul, will Javier’s sacrifice destroy them all?

Author’s Note:
The Protector deals with issues of sexual abuse and forced prostitution. While these acts are not detailed on the page, there are many references to them and the ongoing fight to heal and overcome. This book should not be read by anyone who would be adversely affected by these references.

GGR-LB Author

FAR Jessie G Bio PhotoLike many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With two published books and counting, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

Author Interview:

If you could ask your characters one question, what would it be?
Do they ever think about getting a place of their own, even if it's just a secret vacation retreat where they can be alone?

Pick one song to describe each character.
Saul - Under Pressure, Queen & David Bowie
Javier - Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix
Kyle - The Show Must Go On, Queen

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
I would go to Italy and look up my extended family.

Would you rather get a really well-written three star review, or a brief five star review?
I'm going to say a brief five star review because you didn't qualify the three star as being constructive (read: not mean). Malicious, purposefully hurtful reviews, can be very well-written, especially if the reviewer is trying to prove themselves better than the author they are obliterating. If the option was a well-written and constructive review, I would take that no matter how many stars came with it.

If your main character was an animal, what would he be?
Saul would be an alpha wolf. Leader of his pack, fierce, loyal and protective.

GGR-LB Excerpt

A voyeur at twenty-eight—how had he sunk so low? In his defense, Kyle couldn’t remember ever seeing anything as beautiful as the two men in the corner. Both of Latino descent, their olive skin and dark hair immediately pinged on his radar. As he stood in line to order, Kyle couldn’t help but watch as the dominant comforted his partner. That moment when his hand fell to the submissive’s neck had been so electric that Kyle felt it across the small café. Then they just breathed together, slow and steady, until they were one breath in unison.
It hadn’t been his intention to get the table next to theirs, but by the time he sat, all the rest were taken. Neither looked his way, which was surprising because most people did, men and women alike. Some said he had a look about him, not too tall, not too broad, with that all-American, boy-next-door vibe. Not a bad package that was kicked up by pale blue eyes that had been described as freaky or sexy depending on who was fucking him, and blond hair that could border on white if he stayed out in the sun too long. Having just come back from Mexico, shooting new scenes for the porn house he contracted with, he knew all the normal things that drew attention were amplified by his deep golden tan.
For once he was glad not to be noticed. Their moment was so intimate he wouldn’t want to intrude and settled for huddling in a chair against the wall. Yet, as much as he reminded himself to focus on the pitiful grilled chicken salad, his gaze kept straying. When the tip of that pink tongue teased those full lips, he felt his cock swell. Kyle couldn’t recall the last time he reacted to anyone without the benefit of some Viagra, and to have it happen now, in a crowded café, stunned him. Then the dominant one leaned in and licked him. No, no, shit, he held him in place and tortured that exquisite mouth so expertly it was a wonder Kyle didn’t shoot in his pants just watching.
With just the barest touch of an accent, the submissive begged for more. His voice was barely a whisper, so Kyle couldn’t tell how deep or accented it really was, but that whispery moan spoke a language all its own.
Nervously, he glanced around the café. Public displays were usually frowned upon and man-on-man was usually worse. A few people glanced their way, but no one seemed inclined to confront the pair and he instinctively knew that had everything to do with the dominant one. Yeah, he oozed a don’t-fuck-with-me attitude that was no act.
Holy shit, he was going for the whole tongue. This was no kiss, it was better. Pure, undiluted, sexual torture. Kyle had to bite his own tongue to keep it in his mouth. It took a full minute to slide down the length of that tongue. A full fucking minute and was that a little suckle at the end? When the submissive moaned, Kyle moaned right along with him.

Kyle forced himself to look down at his plate as they leaned in to whisper to each other, and practically shoveled the food in his mouth. If he didn’t get out of there soon he’d be begging to join them, tongue out, legs spread, whatever they wanted.

After The End Book Tour - Interview With Sara York

Welcome to my blog Sara, and congratulations on your recent release! Please let me know a little about yourself.

Other than writing do you have any hobbies? I love working out. About two years ago I started lifting weights with crossfit. It’s become a passion of mine. But I’m not as young as the other crossfitters so it’s not easy all the time. In October I’m doing my first competion at crossfit. My goal is to complete all of the workouts.

What is a typical day for you? Coffee first! After walking the dogs and eating a little breakfast I head to crossfit. Then it’s an hour of working out before eating again. Usually I start work and then eat. More coffee and work. I still have two teens at home so there’s a lot of running around and taking them places. After dinner, at least three days a week I work some more. So basically there’s a lot of coffee and work.

If you could travel through time just once and come back, at what point in time would you go? I’d love to go forward about five hundered years and see what happens.

What in your life gets you really excited? Coffee and food, and working out. I also love traveling with my family. It’s great to spend time with them, hanging out and just reconnecting.

How do you celebrate a new book release? Usually I don’t do much. We lift a glass, I might take a day off, and sometimes we go out to eat. I also like to celebrate by writing another book.

Thank you for having me.

- Sara

You're very welcome, and here's to many more releases!

Pumping Iron - Author Interview and Blog Tour

Pumping Iron (A Bad Boyfriends Novel)

Name: Nya Rawlyns

Twitter: https://twitter.com/Nya_Rawlyns
Website: http://www.romancingwords.com/

What do you do while writing that others might find unusual?
First off, thanks for having me! I appreciate being here with you and your followers.

As for writing, it’s not so much what *I* do, but what my supervisor does. I think everyone who knows me (and my alter ego, Diane) from Face Book is also familiar with Little Miss Mayhem, aka LMM. She is my constant companion and the devil on my shoulder, literally.

Lemme ’splain… LMM is a rescue kitty, brought to me by a FB friend and actual near neighbor, Mitzi. The world of social networking has watched this darling bundle of grey naughty grow up into a lovely adult filled with attitude and entitlement. She’s a cat, it’s what they do, but LMM does it better than any other.

When I write I go into “author space”, that black hole where nothing and no one but my characters and their stories exist. I lose all sense of time and place. I go where no man has gone before. Personal hygiene, paying bills, making dinner, answering the phone… Pfft. Those concerns, those activities simply don’t exist.

Until dinner time. LMM dinner time. She starts around 2:30. A mousie gets tossed into my lap. I ignore it. She sits and stares, a dark mind-penetrating glare. My hairs stand on end, but I finish the paragraph. I’m now aware of time passing; it’s irksome. Then around 4pm, she’s on the arm of the chair with her front feet on my shoulder—she ain’t light, our Little Miss—and a paw that’s been places I’d rather not think about goes in my ear or bats my jaw. By 4:30 the claws come out. My ankles are fair game.

I have two reasons for saving-to-file: to open a can of food … and to find the iodine.

What is the most satisfying thing about being a writer?
I spent my career writing technical reports. Now I write fiction. Both kinds of writing require discipline, both rely on a creative process, and although fiction might seem more a right-brain activity, it actually relies heavily on logic and a degree of objectivity in order to bring characters and situations to life.

As a child, I was painfully shy and introverted, bullied because of my weight, and forced to find solace in solitary activities. Books became (and remain to this day) my best friends. I learned to express myself through the written word, speaking with my fingers rather than my mouth and tongue. Eventually I learned to be more socially adept, but my best mode of communication is still via the written word. I am forever grateful for the digital revolution that allows me to communicate my thoughts with all the fabulous people who have befriended me from around the world.

Where and when do you prefer to write?
I write something every single day (points to the question above). Writing is like a muscle—if you don’t use it, it can atrophy. If it does that, it’s not always an easy task to bring it back to a level of fitness where it will function correctly. When I’m deep into writing a book, I like to start first thing in the morning and go straight through until Herself suggests it’s time to stop and smell the tuna. My evenings are for reading, for Firstborn, and for a few guilty pleasure TV shows (Suits, Dancing with the Stars, Arrow, Royal Pains, The Voice).

Would you ever want one of your books to be made into a movie?
I suspect my romantic comedies might be suitable for the small screen, although my contemporary M/M western saga would indeed lend itself to a Silverado treatment, perhaps with Kasdan directing. The casting couch is always open, especially for the roles of Ash and Oak, two of my favoritest characters (that’s like saying you like one of your offspring more than another, but hey ho, it is what it is). Sweeping Wyoming vistas, dangerous places, dangerous men…
Yeah, I can see that. Now all I need to do is crowd-source it.
Coming to a theater near you: The Crow Creek Saga.

We all see your posts on FB with your dinner plates, do you have a favorite recipe that you are willing to share?
Woohoo! Thanks for noticing!

I do love to cook—not bake so much as getting a tasty meal on the table, one that takes less than a pot and a frying pan, and about 30 minutes of my time.

Seafood has gotten pricy—shrimp, scallops and crab are a king’s ransom nowadays. Firstborn and I indulge but mostly during the holidays.

For everyday fish, we love tilapia. It’s meaty and not “fishy”—to the nose or on the tongue. Yes, I am aware of all the cautionary statements warning about farm-raised fish, but we restrict our selection to either Wegmans or Weis markets, two vendors we’ve grown to trust over the years.

Depending on the size of the filet, you might want one per person.

Ingredients:
Tilapia fillet(s)
EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
Pat of butter
Lemon (for zest and juice)
Sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper medley
Old Bay seasoning
Tomato bruschetta
Capers

In a frying pan, heat about 1tbsp EVOO and pat of butter until the oil lightly smokes. Add the tilapia fillet(s) and season the top with salt, pepper, and about 1-2 tsp Old Bay seasoning. Cook on medium high until the fillet browns (halfway up the side, thickest portion). Turn over and season with the salt/pepper/Old Bay. Cook until the fish flakes with a fork. Turn heat to low. Zest the lemon onto the fillet, add a half cup of tomato bruschetta to the top of each fillet, and add a tbsp. of capers with some juice to the pan. Heat for a minute or so, then squeeze the lemon juice over the fish and plate.

For those of you on low salt diets, skip the salt. Seasonings can be adjusted to taste, keeping in mind “less is more”.

We usually have fresh crusty French bread and a salad to go with our fish. This prep also works well with Scallops—just skip the tomato bruschetta.

And there you have it! Thanks again for hosting the Pumping Iron Tour. It’s been a pleasure.

BDSMonday - Character Interview With Liam From Night Out

It's BDSMonday!

I was tagged to do a character interview by Elyzabeth M. VaLey. When I signed up for it, I thought I would be posting an interview with one of her characters...but I was mistaken. Seeing as it's a Monday, I decided to hit two subs with one flogger (*heh*) and interview Liam from the kinky story I have out right now, Night Out. So, without further ado, it's my great pleasure to introduce...Liam!

(This interview is mildly spoiler-y if you haven't read Night Out)

Q: How long have you and Jason been together?
A: We've been dating for three years, and we moved in together about...nine months ago. We met through a mutual friend and really hit it off. I've never eaten so well in my life. I have no idea how I survived before I met him, how I didn't starve to death.

Q: When did you 'come out' to Jason as kinky?
A: I think it was after our second or third date. We were at his house. He'd cooked us dinner--pasta, I don't remember what he called it, but it had red sauce and it was amazing--and we'd shared a bottle of wine. We definitely weren't drunk, but we weren't exactly sober either. He'd lit some candles. All the lights were off and we were sitting on his couch, listening to music. I don't remember what I said, but he playfully grabbed my wrist. And...well, I liked it. And it was pretty obvious that I liked it. So he grabbed my other wrist, and things...went from there! I never really had to say it out loud, we just figured it out together.

Q: Who makes most of the decisions for the two of you?
A: Definitely Jason! He's very particular and he likes things a certain way. Most of the time I'm not bothered by his systems, so it's not a source of conflict between us. If you mean in the bedroom...I'd say I'm slightly more of a bottom, both sexually and...kinkily? But we both switch.

Q: Were you interested in BDSM before you met Jason?
A: Yeah, I was. I hadn't felt comfortable enough with anyone I was dating before him to try anything really kinky, but I always feel completely safe with Jason. We haven't done anything really "hard core" and we're taking it slowly, but I've been able to tell him all of my fantasies, and he's told me all of his. We've tried a few of them. Some have been amazing, others...well, they're better as fantasies!

Q: What kinky activity did you want to try most?
A: I don't know if it counts, but the thought of fisting has always really turned me on. When I actually tried it, though, I found out it really wasn't my thing. I've always been curious about bondage, and that I like! I'm not sure I was quite ready for Jason's Valentine's surprise, and it's not something I would have asked for, but I can't deny that I had an amazing time.

Q: Where do you think he'll take you next year?
A: I have no idea. He works from home, so he has lots of time alone to think of all sorts of amazing, fiendish plans. It'll probably push my comfort zone a little, because that's how he is, but I trust him to come up with something mindblowing.

John Reinhard Dizonhjre

1. How do you work through self-doubts and fear?

You have to believe in your product, and reinforce that belief with validation. From there you have to aggressively market your product. If you fail, you have to let go and let God.

2. Why do you write?

It’s what I’m good at, and it’s the one thing at which I remain competent as all the other doors begin to close at this advanced age.

3. What writing are you most proud of? (Add a link if you like)

That’d be a tie between Tiara and Nightcrawler. Here’s the Tiara link:

http://www.amazon.com/Tiara-Anniversary-John-Reinhard-Dizon/dp/1494366878/

4. What are you most proud of in your personal life?

In order of achievement: having been a ‘founding father’ of punk rock in Brooklyn during the 70’s, wrestled professionally during the 80’s, earned degrees in Korean martial arts and my BA at UTSA in the 90’s, resurrected The Spoiler heavy metal band in the 00’s, and published fifteen books (and counting) in the 10’s.

5. What books did you love growing up?

I owned the entire James Bond collection as a teen and the entire Conan the Barbarian anthology in my twenties. Ian Fleming and Robert E. Howard have had a great influence on my writing style.

6. Who is your favorite author?

I’d have to go with William Shakespeare as the master of brevity and conciseness. I’d also have to mention Franz Kafka in having influenced me as a postmodernist author.

7. What book should everybody read at least once?

The Bible. It’s a matter of life and death.

8. Location and life experiences can really influence writing, tell us where you grew up and where you now live?

I grew up in Brooklyn NY, did eighteen years in San Antonio TX, and will die here in Missouri. Most of my novels are centered around NYC, though a few feature backdrops in Texas. I also write novels with a Missouri background as well. I recognize it as God’s plan for my life, allowing me to experience three of the most disparate yet essential areas of the USA to draw upon for my writing.

9. Where do you get your inspiration from?

Half of the time I’m looking for new worlds to conquer, so if I see a genre previously unexplored I’ll give it a whirl, as I did with steampunk in writing Stxeamtown. The other half of the time I come across a current topic or event that I can weigh in on. Women’s issues are also important to me, and I feature strong female characters in all my novels.

10. What marketing works for you?

Your best chance is word-of-mouth promotion and having the reviews to back it up. My major focus is on social media, hoping that the work will eventually fall into the right hands with time remaining.

11. Do you find it hard to share your work?

Not at all. I’m at the 20/80 point right now (20% writing, 80% promo) throughout my workday.

12. Do you plan to publish more books?

I’ve got Transplant coming out on Assent Publishing in May 2014, it’s a suspense/thriller novel. I’ve also got Superstition, a supernatural Western, getting ready to self-pub. Stay tuned!
